After graduating from St. Bonaventure University with a MSEd, Constance (Connie) Hanel worked as a high school counselor for Chautauqua County. She has been with St. Bonaventure University as an adjunct instructor since 2006.
Hanel runs a company called Independent Learning Systems that works with school districts, families and psychologists teaching behavioral skills that promote independent learning skills. She specializes with at-risk youth programs and consults with school districts and psychologists related to educational programing. Hanel has co-authored three books on cyberbullying speaking at national conferences, television shows and radio.
Hanel runs the Undergraduate Learning and Community Center for the University at Buffalo and presents yearly at educational conferences, academic advising programs and keynote speaking engagements.
Hanel has a daughter Madison that is working in the education field and lives with her husband Scott and three dogs. Her hobbies include restoring old cars and home improvement.
