Dr. Latoya Pierce brings fifteen years of experience in higher education programs to her role as director for the Master of Science in Education counseling programs. She has been a tenured, associate-level professor, as well as serving in multiple service positions at various institutions. During her seven years of experience on an IRB (institutional review board), she served several times as the expediter for all social science research proposals.
Pierce has served as a Subject Matter Expert in Diversity for the state system in Louisiana, as well as a Cultural and Linguistic Specialist at Arkansas State University. Her previous administrative experience includes serving as a Program Director, Field Site Coordinator, and Director of Academic Effectiveness and Program Administration. She has also chaired and served on multiple dissertations, and currently serves on three local boards in the community focused on advocacy, the arts, and community engagement.
