Professional Background

Mattioli holds a bachelor's degree in modern languages from St. Bonaventure University. She has held various positions, mainly in corporate settings where she focused upon marketing, recruiting, sales/support, customer care. Her work primarily involved business-to-business interactions in multinational firms such as Bausch & Lomb, Inc., Sentry Group, BMP America, and Thermo Fisher Scientific. Early in 2000, she transitioned to higher education, where she specialized in marketing and recruiting, and teaching at the associate, bachelor and master’s levels, in classroom, via hybrid and online.

Throughout her career, she relentlessly pursued learning at any level, from introductory coursework in education, human services and languages — dabbling in French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and American sign language — to advanced coursework in nonprofit leadership.

Immediately prior to returning “home” to Bonaventure, she served SUNY Genesee Community College as associate dean at the Lima, N.Y campus.
