Dr. Renee Covell is an Adjunct Business Instructor currently teaching Marketing Research and Project Management here at St. Bonaventure University. She brings over twenty years of corporate experience working with international firms, earning her way up through the ranks in a variety of fortune 500 companies.
Dr. Covell’s last corporate position was Country Manager for an international Clinical Research Organization (CRO). She is a published researcher and speaker and, when time permits, continues to research and publish in all areas of business. Her most recent publications centered around productivity enhancements realized by new gym-goers. Dr. Covell also owns and operates a sales training and consulting firm, three franchise gyms, and is part-owner of a sugar maple tree farm in Rushford, NY. In the fall season, they sell harvest at craft and art shows around the state of PA.
As a professor, Dr. Covell’s mission is threefold:
“1- to spark a passion and enthusiasm for learning in my students; 2- to be a role model and mentor for my students by demonstrating life and education anchored by Christian values; 3- to demonstrate the value of research and lifelong learning.”
She applies a variety of techniques based both on educational theory and on proven, practical experience. She draws on diverse cultural examples and sensitivities to form group activities, lectures, and discussion board questions.
Dr. Covell is the wife of a CEO of a $200 million roofing manufacturing company, which has four manufacturing locations around the country (and two more in the queue to be opened). Her family has developed strong relationships with many in the small business and the Amish and Mennonite communities. They appreciate and value family and the Lord, and Dr. Covell's teaching principles center around these two critical components in her life.
