Career Resources

An SBU diploma is more than a degree – it’s the next step of your career

The Career and Professional Readiness Center is available to all SBU students and alumni. Regardless if you choose a Master of Business Administration (MBA), MS in Business Analytics, MS in Cybersecurity, MA in Communication, MA in Leadership, MA in Digital Journalism, MA in Sports Journalism, MSED School Counseling, or MSED Clinical Mental Health Counseling, the CPRC can help you hone your skills and focus on your job search.

Take advantage of our Career and Professional Readiness Center (CPRC) to find internships and career opportunities. In addition, the CPRC offers resources that even the most developed professional will find helpful, such as seminars on gaining the competitive edge in the next steps of your career.

The formation of my business took place while I was enrolled in the MBA program, so every class was applicable to something I needed to know. My MBA concentration was in marketing, and the marketing courses really helped me to establish my company’s brand and build a reputation in the community. Even after two years in business, I use marketing metrics and client feedback every day to better understand my target market and how to reach them.
