Matrecia James
Professional Background
Dr. Matrecia S.L James is the Dean of the School of Business and joined the St. Bonaventure community in 2016. Dr. James earned her master’s degree in business education in 2000 and her Ph.D. in business administration from Florida State in 2005.
She was an assistant, then associate professor of management at Jacksonville University’s Davis College of Business then became the associate dean as well as the graduate business program director. She also served as the director of Leadership Development Portfolios, a platform she designed to store information and monitor student progress in portfolio development.
In addition to her experience in leadership development and higher education, Dr. James is the founder of Multi-level Sustainable Leadership Consulting. Her consulting helps provide individuals and organizations with the tools and expertise needed to develop strong and sustainable leadership skills. From her experience in these roles, she has created and facilitated numerous development seminars and workshops to strengthen and enhance individual and organizational leadership.
