Mikhail Sudakov
Professional Profile
Mikhail works in the security field as Cyber Security Architect and Analyst at LEO Cyber Security. He came into security from a business software development background. Previously, he served as a software developer and information security specialist at St. Bonaventure University. Mikhail is an enthusiast of advanced mathematics and (basic) quantum mechanics, which fuel his love for the world of crypto. As a public speaker, he has given several presentations on the topic of cryptology at security conferences around the U.S. and Canada. Mikhail has a lot of experience in enterprise-level software solutions development and has participated in several large-scale enterprise programming projects. It is not surprising that Mikhail’s strong sides in security are software security and cryptology.
Mikhail has an enormous passion for the field of cybersecurity and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He is a strong believer in continuous education and self-improvement because technology never sleeps, never stops, and never waits. He also deeply believes that security has always been and will always be primarily about people and processes, and not about technology. As a programmer, he is always guided by the iron principle of trusting nothing and verifying everything. Mikhail holds an Offensive Security certification (OSCP) and, although he is a “Russian hacker”, his hat is white and his directive is to protect.
